Note on eave color: Most homes have the overhangs (eaves) painted a different color from the body — usually white or off-white trim. This is the standard and what this estimate is based on. Some homeowners choose to paint the eaves the same color as the body to save cost and simplify the look. Our estimator can walk you through both options and the pros and cons when we meet in person.

Quality paint is not cheap — we only use professional-grade products
On materials: We use professional-grade paints — primarily Sherwin-Williams and Dunn-Edwards. Good quality runs $50–$65/gal. Premium products like Dunn-Edwards Evershield and Sherwin-Williams Emerald run $75–$95/gal and offer better durability, coverage, and longer paint life. The upper end of your range reflects premium product. We'll discuss the right spec for your home during the on-site visit.

Not included in this estimate
This guide covers the main paintable surfaces of your home's exterior. Items such as fences, gates, patio covers, pergolas, trellis structures, retaining walls, and decorative ironwork can all be painted or refinished — but are not part of this estimating guide. If your property includes any of these, our estimator will assess them during the in-person walk-around and quote them separately. Depending on size, material, and condition, they can add meaningfully to the overall scope.

One thing worth knowing: material and supply costs — paints, primers, caulks, and sundries — have continued to increase year over year and are largely outside our control. Labor costs also see modest annual increases in line with the broader market. Delaying a paint project by even one to two years can meaningfully affect what you'll pay.
